The GX-10 is a new 10.2-megapixel DSLR designed for advanced amateur and professional photographers. The third model in Samsung's rapidly growing DSLR range, the GX-10 offers a number of new and unique features that will allow users to capture images of uncompromising quality in any environment or setting. With features including Optical Picture Stabilization (OPS), a Penta Prism viewfinder that provides a wide field of view of 95 percent, and a revolutionary new dust-resistant CCD sensor, the GX-10 is sure to build on the success of Samsung's first two DSLR products, introduced earlier this year.

Based on the Pentax K10d body. So all pentax lens will fit this

Automatic dust removal, auto settings will let a complete beginner take some pretty good shots.

In fact, the lenses (as I've heard) are manufactured at a Pentax plant but are labelled with a Samsung logo. I paid the same amount of money for a double-kit GX-10 that a single-lense K10D would cost.

What you get is a fully-functional (sometimes, even more than more expensive and popular cameras), solidly-built, versatile camera that comes in a dust-water-resistant body and can take any Pentax/Samsung lenses as well. The weight, they say, might also be considered a plus.

The only minus I can find now is that the shutter sometimes locks at close-ups."

"Samsung GX-10 Digital camera is the first digital SLR camera I have owned and got it December 2007.
I chose this over the Pentax K-10D as it had really good reviews and even though they are basically the same camera this one was a lot cheaper especially as it came to two lens.
This is a solid built camera and is very easy to use. The menus are easy to access and changing the settings i.e. aperture can be done without having to take your eye off the view finder.
Even though there are not many Samsung accessories i.e. lens and flashes, the accessories for the Pentax can be used. I have not tried this yet as the kit I received came with two lens, which is more than enough for what I need.
As an amateur photographer I am very pleased with this and would recommended it to anyone who is looking for a great priced digital SLR.

"I have only begun playing with my Samsung GX10 after using a variety of simpler digital cameras for 8 yrs. I bought this Pentax clone in order to use my collection of lenses from my 20yr old Pentax ME Super 35mm camera. - 20 mm and 50 mm Pentax lenses and 28 mm and 70-200 mm Image brand lenses."
